So, here we are, the last 34 hours on the island. I’m going through my usual calm-before-the-storm routine and can’t be rushed to do anything. So my bags haven’t been packed yet and I haven’t bought any souvenirs for anyone (not even for myself) but all I want to do is lie in bed and enjoy the warm, balmy weather of the tropics. I know that by this time tomorrow I’ll have my game face on and would be trying really hard not to cry when I see the departure gate, and even more so when my flight starts boarding. But right now, with plans to go out with friends one last time this evening and a lunch date with family tomorrow to look forward to, I’m not too worried. I may scream and curse when I get to the Sand Globe, but right now life is just too pleasant to worry about that just yet.
