Pearl strand lamp

I want! I currently have a naked bulb hanging on my curtain rod (long story short: friend gift now too big for living room but I still need light). I think this idea will do quite well. There’s no tutorial but you’ll figure it out from the photos from Design Dazzle. Bonus: I get to use my new pliers. Hooray!

I'm not into chandeliers usually but this one's too gorge not to share

So here we are my first post as a crafty (I hope) blogger. I didn’t have much money when I first moved into my new place so a lot of my stuff were hand-me-downs from friends and almost-literal steals from furniture shops. Along the way I accumulated stuff I didn’t really like or things that didn’t go with any other furniture and decor in the house. And again, I had no money, so I quickly figured DIY-ing stuff to get them to look the way I wanted was the only way to go for me. Thanks to StumbleUpon and YouTube, I managed to find people on the web who had similar tastes and almost neurotic need to use their hands like me. Too bad I saw this one after I already made a new lampshade but great idea for the next (and inevitable) time I break it. Learn how to make it here: Fantastisk kaffefilter-lampe – It’s in German (I think) but you get the picture.
